An-ge-li-ca's coming to town
Angelica Lee Sinje (Malaysian-born actress in Hong Kong) is coming to town... Georgetown! Fans of award-winning actress and World Vision ambassador Angelica Lee Sinje can catch her special appearance at Wawasan Open University in Penang this Saturday (7th Feb 2009).
Signed on to partner World Vision Malaysia for its “3,000 Children in 3 Months’ campaign, which kicked off in early January, the Kedah-born lass is working hand-in-hand with her mentor – director and actress Sylvia Chang – to raise awareness for the World Vision International Child Sponsorship Programme. Both are World Vision child sponsors, sponsoring seven and eight children, respectively.
Joining the two international artistes in their mission are local celebrities Francissca Peter (World Vision Malaysia Ambassador), Danell Lee, Deborah Henry (World Vision Children’s Rights Advocate), Roshan (MixFM announcer), Royce Tan (MYFM announcer) and Siow Hui Mei (Astro TV Presenter).

Through their collective efforts, World Vision Malaysia hopes to find sponsors for 3,000 children from poor communities in Vietnam, South Africa, Thailand and Lebanon between now and March 31.
As part of the campaign, Lee will be sharing her experience as a child sponsor at Wawasan Open University Main Campus (Penang) this Saturday from 2pm till 4pm. She will also be talking about her visits to her sponsored children in Mongolia and Kenya. Entrance to the special appearance is by invitation for the public.
